Book two in Kim Stanley Robinson's Science in the Capital Trilogy (now compiled into one single volume called Green Earth). Again, seemed strangely appropriate to read about a world dealing with the effects of climate change in the midst of horrible storms in Texas these past few weeks. A compelling narrative. A real page turner but also deep in scientific thought. On to the third and final book.
